It is with great sadness that the family of Thomas Freiley Ziegler announce his passing on February 1, 2026. Tom was born on November 30, 1947, in Tennessee to Earl and Sue Ziegler.
He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 47 years, Elaine, his brother, Earl Jr., and both of his parents.
He is survived by his brothers, Joe and Alan; his daughter, Nancy; his grandchildren, Alex, Nicole (Grace), Casey (Matt), Chase; and his great-grandson, August.
Tom’s family and career were foremost in his life. He had a flourishing career as an engineer and enjoyed playing golf with his friends, fixing up cars, and woodworking. Tom loved traveling the world with his wife, Elaine, and spending time with his daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandson. He will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved him.
A visitation and memorial service will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home on Thursday, February 5, from 6 – 8 p.m.
