Funeral service for Thomas Ezra Moore, 85, of Hanceville will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 23rd, 2015 at Cullman Church of Christ, 4345 AL Hwy. 157, Cullman, Minister Corey Lewis officiating with interment at 2 p.m. at Walker’s Chapel Cemetery.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Moore died peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends July 20, 2015, following a brief battle with cancer. He was born August 12, 1929 to parents, Ezra & Tommie Willis Moore. He was a graduate of University of Alabama and was a member of Masonic Lodge Tuscaloosa for over 50 years. He worked for Sears Roebuck as manager of five different stores in five different states. He worked at Liberty National Life Insurance for many years. Tom later started his own business in the manufactured homes business, Hwy. 278 Quick Stop and fireworks.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Elizabeth Moore Turner.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Russell Moore; daughter, Karen (Mike) Kilgo and son, Tommy Moore of Tuscaloosa; stepson, Bill (Kim) Rager of Cullman; grandchildren, Cody Rager of Nashville, Tenn. Brandy (Brandon) Pickard, of Hueytown, Ala.; step-grandson, Dalton Hudson, of Kimberly Ala.; great-grandchildren, Addison & Shylah Pickard; several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
