Thomas Edward Minor passed away on Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at the age of 72. His visitation was Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. The funeral service will be today in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. with Brian McCutchen officiating. Burial will be in Shaw Cemetery.
Thomas was a native of Colbert County and worked as an electrician for Reynolds. He was a member of the East Colbert Church of Christ, a member of the IBEW 558, and a farmer. He was preceded in death by his son, Daryl Edward Minor; parents, Paul and Vivian Minor; and brother, Bobby Minor.
Thomas is survived his wife, Betty Davis Minor; daughter, Rhonda Minor Truitt (Dave); granddaughters, Elizabeth Grace “Lizzy” Truitt and Cassandra Faith “Cassie” Truitt; and brother, Jerry Minor.
Pallbearers will be Dave Truitt, Ronnie Davis, Cody Davis, Tony Gargis, Kent Woods, and Joe Bogle.
The family would like to thank Beth, Angela, and Tabitha of Alacare Hospice for their support and the North Alabama Cancer Center. Also, thanks to all family and friends for all of their help.
