Thomas Edward Blaylock, age 81 of Sulligent, AL, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the residence. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 4:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Blaylock Cemetery. Bro. Jeff Chaffin to officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Thomas was born August 18, 1937 in Lamar County Alabama to the late William Thomas Blaylock and the late Odie Bea Smith. He was a 1957 graduate of Greenwood Springs High School, Greenwood Springs Mississippi. Thomas retired after 48 years as a sales and service manager for Brands Bakery. He was a member of the Sulligent First Baptist Church. He taught Sunday school for 10 plus years. He was also a member of the Young at Heart group in his church. Thomas served on the Sulligent City Council for 8 years. He enjoyed camping and fishing, especially in Lake Okeechobee in Florida, and as secretary and treasurer over Sulligent Lake for 30 years.

Son: Tony Edward (Amy) Blaylock, Sikeston, MI

Daughter: Dianne (Tim) Morgan, Kings Mountain, NC

Grandchildren: Heather Anthony, Stacy (Joey) Angus, Mark (Tammy) Ahlvin

Great Grandchildren: Haley, Mason, Lilly, Brianna, Liam, Braylen, Hayden, Chloe, Matthew
