Thomas E. “Tommy” Glover, age 77, of Sumiton, AL passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019. He was a graduate of Corner High School and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Corner, AL. Tommy worked with Gulf Oil Distributors (Now BP Oil Company) in Birmingham, AL for 17 years and retired from Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Cullman, AL after 24 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his parents Noble Edward and Louise Glover, a daughter, Lisa Renee Glover and a granddaughter Alaignah Leigh Glover.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Joan Harding Glover of 58 years, two daughters, Karen Glover Kaetz and Janet Glover Campisi (Samuel), of Hoover, AL; son, Jarrod Glover, of Corner, AL; five grandchildren, Olivia Kaetz, Lauren Campisi, Ryan Christopher “Chris” Campisi, Victoria Glover and Hollie Glover, and one great grandson, John Ellis Fleming. He is also survived by his sister, Gwendolyn Waid (Bobby) and a brother, Jerry Glover (Linda), of Sumiton, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Services will be held at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home, Dora, AL. Visitation will be Friday, November 1, from 5:30 to 7:00 with a short service at 7:00. The family request no floral contributions, but that donations be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church Building Fund, 2427 Corner Road, Warrior, AL 35180, or to your favorite charity.
