Thomas David Garrard, 57, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Mr. Garrard was a native and lifelong resident of Lauderdale County with the exception of time spent with the U.S. Air Force. Thomas was a kind, loving, and giving person who always had time for others. His devotion to AA brought him in touch with many people that he was able to help during their recovery process over the years. Thomas was a graduate of Wilson High School and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of North Alabama. He will be missed by his family and friends.
A graveside service for friends and family will be Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 1 p.m. in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
Mr. Garrard was preceded in death by his father, William Oscar Garrard.
He is survived by his wife Lucy Campbell Garrard; son, Jonathan Ezro (Karen); daughter, Melinda Thompson(Chad) mother, Joyce Terry; brothers, Lee Terry (Janna) and Brian Terry; sisters, Cheryl Cornelius, Ann Glover (Johnny), Laura Garrard (Frances); grandchildren, Amelia and Jayden Ezro, Abbi Kate Jordan; nieces, Christy Gregory (Heath), Sarah Cornelius, Morgan, Myranda, and Meagan Terry; nephews, Chris Glover (Ashley), Josh Glover, Reagan Jones (Kate); 4 great nephews.
