Dale Pilkington Thomas Dale Pilkington, Sr., 76, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025, at his home Vardaman. Dale was born on August 5, 1948, Clarkson, MS, to C.L. and Stella Azwell Pilkington. A member of Trinity Baptist Church in Derma, MS, and also a United States Air veteran, he spent most of his working life in the furniture manufacturing industry. He took pride in his yard and could often be found outside on his lawnmower. He loved woodworking, fishing, and his family. You knew he loved you if he picked on you at every opportunity. An avid Ole Miss fan, he spent many games yelling at TV.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Davis Pilkington, two sons, Thomas Pilkington, Jr. (Patricia) of Maben, MS and Nelson Pilkington (Jennifer) of Houston, MS, stepson, Rodney Gregory of Houlka, MS, stepdaughter, Jamie Weaver (Nicholaus) of Amory, MS, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, his sister-in-law, Julie Crouch (Tim) of Pontotoc, MS, his cousin, Wayne Eiland of Waxahatchie, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Calvin Pilkington of Maben, MS, his sisters, Betty Deason of Clarkson, MS, Nell Rose of Meridian, MS, Willa Dean Mann of Columbus, MS, Thadie Williams of Mathiston, MS, and Cassie Brown of Mathiston, MS, and his grandson, Thomas David Pilkington.

Funeral Services will be 3PM Friday, January 17, 2025, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Chad O’Brien officiating. Visitation will begin at 1PM and continue to service time. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Caleb Weaver, Tyler Pilkington, Evin Pilkington, Taylor Dowdy, Lynn Williams, and Ken Williams.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Nathan Crouch and Jeff Crocker.
