Thomas Carl Wilson, aged 70, of Athens, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025. Born on January 16th, 1955, in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of Richard and Claudette Wilson.
Mr. Wilson is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Mitzi Wilson. He leaves behind his cherished children: Derek Wilson (Allison Hall), Andrea Wilson (Terrell Reeves), and Kelli Wilson (Blake Brown). Additionally, he is survived by his stepchildren, Caleb Kimbrell, married to Rechelle, and Dakota Norman, married to Colby. Thomas was the proud grandfather of ten grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jerry Wilson, and his sister Sherry Wilson.
Thomas was an ardent fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, and his enthusiasm for the team was well-known among family and friends. He found great joy in gardening as well as playing golf, and cherished moments spent by the water, especially at the beach. Mitzi, his devoted wife, was the love of his life, and Thomas’s affection for his family was profound and unwavering. His warmth and kindness will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Thomas Carl Wilson’s legacy of love, joy, and dedication to his family and passions will continue to inspire those he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
