Thomas C. Box, 84, of Florence, passed away, Tuesday, June 4, 2019. His visitation will be June 6, 2019 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. Services will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Arvy Dupuy and Jerry Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Central Heights Community Cemetery.
Mr. Box was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Box; parents, Carroll and Ethel Box; son, Wendell Box; brothers, Kenneth and Donald Box; sister, Ruby Hopson. He was retired from Reynolds Aluminum where he worked for 35 years. He attended Cornerstone Church of Christ.
He is survived by his son, Greg Box (Sherry); grandchildren, Jared Box, Erica Darby (Steven) and Jessica Harrison (Tyler); great- grandchildren, Harrison and Avery Darby, Lila and Harper Harrison; sister, Rosemary Robertson.
Pallbearers will be Steven Darby, Tyler Harrison, Harrison Darby, Jared Box, Danny Ray Dover, Tim Hopson, Herbie Harrison and Wayne Kelly. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Counts, McCoy Underwood, Loyd Baker, Skip Hopson, Donnie Vaden and Shawn Dover.
