Graveside service for Thomas Alton Williamson, 87, of Cullman will be at 1 p.m., Sunday, April 5th, 2020, at Crosses Chapel Cemetery, Bro. Gary Carter officiating.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Williamson passed away Friday, April 3rd, 2020 at Cullman Regional Hospital. He was born January 17, 1933 to Dewey Benjamin & Ruth Harper Williamson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles Williamson.
Survivors include his wife of almost 67 years, Amanda Johnson Williamson; daughter, Beverly Williamson (Timothy) Presley; sister-in-law, Martha Williamson; grandchildren, Nichole Simon, Sara (Jamie) Milam; great-grandchildren, David Presley, Max Simon, Brayden Rowell, Britney Milam; nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Alton attended Baldwin Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He served 26 years in the United States Air Force and 14 years in Civil Service. He volunteered at the Peinhardt Living History Farm every October and loved working with the children that came to the farm. He volunteered with Meals On Wheels at West Point and was a member of the North Alabama Antique Tractor Club.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Presbyterian Children’s Home, c/o Bonnie Marty, 381 Co. Rd. 404, Cullman, AL 35057 in memory of Thomas Alton Williamson.
A memorial service will be held and announced at a later date when the covid.19 restrictions are lifted.
