FLORENCE – Already awaiting trial on over 50 counts of allegedly being in possession of a forged instrument and 3 counts of 1st Degree Theft of Property, the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Carnley Anne England, formerly Carnley Anne Melton, on new charges. According to a Sheriff Department Case Summary, England, 38 years old, was arrested Friday, February 22 on charges which allege Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle, 3rd Degree Criminal Mischief and 4th Degree Theft of Property.
Case Summary:
Deputy responded to Center Star Market for a break in of a motor vehicle. The Deputy reported as follows, “Mrs. Wallace advised me the while she was working at Center Star Market a female named Carnley England made multiple trips in to store in a short amount of time. She stated one of the times that Mrs. England was in the store she (England) set off the panic alarm on her own vehicle. Mrs. Wallace advised, that at closing that night, a co-worker noticed that Mrs. Wallace’s window on her van were busted out. Mrs. Wallace stated that a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses and a pack of cigarettes were also missing out of her van. I observed a shattered back passenger side window and glass on the ground around where the van was parked in the parking lot of the store. I also observed the front passenger side window and it appeared as though someone had try (sic) to wedge between the panel and window. This incident was caught on camera and surveillance footage is available. I took a video of the footage on my body camera and also pictures of the damage. Back passenger side window damage $500.00 and front passenger side door panel damage $500.00 . Offence (sic) occurred from 7:05pm to 7:15pm when you see Mrs. England drive out of the parking lot after being in Mrs. Wallace’s van.
Investigator Bishop went to the market observed and identified the female in the video footage as Carnley England.”
