Theresa Idora McCoy Walker Ford, 88 of Addison, entered into rest on Friday, May 8, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Ford was born on November 26, 1926 in Helicon, Alabama. She graduated from Addison High School and was a member of the Church of God for many years. She worked as a seamstress for Porter Mills in Cullman for several years. He enjoyed sewing, fishing and growing African violets. She was lovingly known by family as “Ease”, “Maw Ease”, and “Granny”.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 10, 2015 from 6-8pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 11am at Addison Church of God. She will lie in state from 10-11am. Bishop Sam Parker and Pastor Rodney Ridgeway will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Ford is survived by her son, Ronald Walker and his wife Renee; and brother-in-law, Bill Shaver. She was “Granny” to three grandchildren, Greg (Michelle) Walker, Sherri Walker and Justin (Melissa) Walker; 7 great grandchildren, Dylan Feezell, Kateria Feezell, Taylor Aldridge, Hannah Smothers, Haley Walker, Daneual Walker and Destiny Walker; great-great granddaughter, Haven Martin; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Calvin Walker, and second husband, Forby Ford; parents, Otto and Ida Woodard McCoy; sisters, Vila McCoy and Betty Shaver; brother, Dolphus McCoy and his wife, Roberta.
