Theodore Kermit Moreland, 82, of Russellville, passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at Russellville Hospital.
Mr. Moreland was a lifelong native of Franklin County and a member of North Highlands Church of Christ. He was a retired contractor and the former owner of Moreland Lumber and Building Supply. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Theo was an avid golfer and sportsman and was an active member of his church.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today at Franklin Memory Gardens with burial to follow. Officiating will be Keith Barnett.
Survivors include wife, Margaret Lou Moreland; son, Mark Moreland and wife, Betty, Cherokee, N.C.; daughter, Susan Rasnic and husband, Jerry, Franklin, Tenn.; grandchildren, Jonathan and Blair Vick.
Honorary pallbearers will be elders and deacons of North Highlands Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, T.K. and Sarah Grace Moreland.
Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, will be directing.
