Mrs. Thelma Lou Smith, age 82 of Albertville, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022. A visitation will be held Thursday evening, July 14, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 15, 2022 at 11:00 am at Welcome Bethel Church in the Sims Community, with Brother Jeff Strong and Brother Christopher Word officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill #2 Cemetery of Guntersville.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband Eskel Smith; daughter Linda Weaver (Derrick); sons Jeff Strong (Tammy) and Joseph Smith (Brittany); sisters Margaret Hulgan and Margie Sims; grandchildren Nathan Strong (Stephanie), Shilee Strong (Eli), Ashley Sims (David), Patrick Sims (Rebecca), Tyler Strong (Madi), Scout Strong, and Layla Smith; several beloved great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Luther and Burnice Sims; sisters Trish Isbell, Wilma Sue Eaton, and Madie Jo Mahan; brother Elton Sims; daughter Selena Hope Strong; and son Wendell Strong.
Pall bearers will include Jonathan Eubanks, David Isbell, Phil Sims, JR Sampson, Dylan Caldwell, and Zach Eubanks.
