Thelma Lois Pannell, 80 of Huntsville passed away Monday, August 11, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Pannell was a longtime resident of Madison County. She was a staff assistant at UAH and past Woman of the Year of Alabama also member of the Huntsville Chapter of the Alabama Business Womens Association. She was a member of the Clifton Heights Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky. She is preceded in death by her two husbands John R. Savage and O.E. Pannell, her parents Raymond Lewis Adams and Onia Pearl Neal Adams, sisters Katherine Hardin and Betty Dunlap and brothers Charles Adams and Lawrence Adams. She is survived by two sons, Mark L. Savage of Dayton, Ohio, John R. Savage, Jr. of Hampton, New York, sister Patsy Adams, brother, Roy Adams, grandchildren, Michael C. Pannell, Melissa Tubbs and Cecil E. Padgett III, also her caregiver Sharolyn Sparkman. Visitation will be Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 10:30am until 12:00pm at Berryhill Funeral Home with a Chapel Service following at noon with the Reverend Jimmy Yates officiating. Burial will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens with Owens Funeral Home of Louisville handling the burial. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
