Thelma Grace HubbardSister Thelma Grace Hubbard was born February 14th, 1959, to the late Lonnie Ellis and Ardelia Nash Freeman in Russellville, Alabama. She was the youngest daughter born to this union. Thelma’s legacy on earth came to a halt on Tuesday, August the 12th, 2025.

Thelma accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member at First Missionary Baptist Church and remained there until her homecoming. She was an active member of the choir and President of the kitchen committee. Thelma enjoyed cooking for all her family and friends. She enjoyed seeing her great nieces and nephews, while being a feisty fashionista diva.

She is preceded in death by her husband George Hubbard, her son George Hubbard Jr., her parents Lonnie and Ardelia Freeman; brothers, Leon, Walter, Dennis, Rev. William, Renford Freeman; mother-in-law Ida C. Freeman, sister Vera Moore; sister-in-law, Gina Freeman, brothers-in-law, Charles Martin and Charles Graham, and nephew Ebon Smith.

Thelma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She leaves cherished memories to her two children, daughter Shahalia Jones, and son Tony Freeman (Amanada). Five grandchildren, Myesha Goodwin, Renee Jones, Jaiden, Raigen, and Maicen Freeman. Two great grandchildren, Branae and Braylah Jones. Two brothers, Bishop Lonnie Freeman (Pamela), Larry Freeman, and a bonus brother, Samuel Kimbrough. Two sisters, Bessie Smith (Joe) and Priscilla Graham. Four brothers-in-law, James Clay (Callie), Tyrus White (Melinda), Lawson Hubbard (Judith), and Philly Moore. Three sisters-in-law, Ida Elliot, Deborah Freeman, and Geraldine Freeman. Two aunts, Geadie Suggs and Hattie Freeman. Two special nieces, Nina Byrd and Neco Hamilton. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that will honor and cherish her memory.
