The Z Presents ‘The Glass Menagerie’ January 10 – 13

FLORENCE-On January 10-12 at 7:30 pm and Jan 13 at 2 pm, The Z (416 N. Court St., Florence) will present the classic Tennesse Williams drama, The Glass Menagerie, giving you a look back to 1937 through the memory of Tom Wingfield. It examines the family relationship between him, and his mother, Amanda,a fading Southern belle. Both of them are unhappy with the life they are stuck with — her as an abandoned single mother and him as a low-level factory worker with little hope of advancement. Laura, Tom’s sister, is the third point of the family triangle. Because of her, Amanda is desparately trying to create an acceptable future even as she feels Tom slipping away from the family.

The production will be directed by Katrina Kelley and the cast includes Michael Hill as Tom, Amanda Perry as Amanda, Macy Ladner as Laura, and Charlie Parker as Jim.
