FLORENCE/TUSCUMBIA-Florence Arts and Museums and the Tennessee Valley Museum of Art are proud to announce a new partnership, the Shoals Art and Education Collaborative. Through this collaboration, both organizations will cross-promote programming to expand access to high-quality arts education throughout the Shoals community.
This spring, from January through May 2026, KD Art Lab will offer a variety of classes in painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics/pottery, and more. An adult program, Nature Journaling, is also being offered. Programs are $75 per participant. Registration is open and participants may register online at www.florencealmuseums.com/ kdartlab.
At TVAA, adults may select from ceramics and photography classes, while students can enroll in photography, general art, ceramics, musical theater dance class and more. Information on these classes and scholarship opportunities can be found at https://tennesseevalleyarts. org/.
The Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts is located at 217 E. Tuscaloosa Street in Florence. Classes will be held at the Southall House, located next to the Art Center office at 209 E.
