FLORENCE– On Thursday, July 20th at 6 PM, The Salvation Army of The Shoals Echelon will host The 3rd Annual Karaoke Idol at FloBama. Echelon uses all proceeds of Karaoke Idol to purchase Thanksgiving baskets for families in need during the holiday season.

Echelon is the emerging young professionals branch of The Salvation Army’s Advisory Board. Members participate in different networking and fundraising events, as well as volunteer activities.

“We are excited to help local families with our 3rd Annual Karaoke Idol event. The Shoals community has always been very supportive of this event the past 2 years, and we hope this year will be the biggest turn out we have had. Kick off Handy Week with a fun night singing karaoke!” says Bradford Bevis, Echelon member.

Sign-ups for karaoke will begin at 5 PM, with the event beginning at 6pm. It will be $20 to sing in the contest. Judges will include Marie Tomlinson Lewey, Tori Bailey, and Johnny Belew. In addition to karaoke, there will be a dance competition and a silent auction with many different items from local businesses. Proceeds from FloBama’s famous banana pudding will also be donated. For more information, call 256-764-4432 or visit the Echelon Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/EchelonSalvationArmy.
