TUSCUMBIA-The Helen Keller Birthplace Foundation will hold auditions for The Miracle Worker on Thursday, March 20th and Saturday, March 22nd. This is the 53rd annual production of William Gibson’s famous drama about young Helen Keller and her teacher, Annie Sullivan. The Miracle Worker is presented on Friday and Saturday nights at 8:00 p.m. from June 6th – July 12th. The production at Ivy Green is the official outdoor drama for the State of Alabama. the miracle worker

Auditions will be held on the following dates and times:
Thursday, March 20th
6:00 pm Auditioning all roles
Saturday, March 22nd
10:00 a.m. Auditioning Helen Keller, Blind Children at
Perkins, Percy, and Martha
2:00 p.m. Auditioning Annie Sullivan, Cpt. Keller, Kate, James, Aunt Ev,

Viney, Mr. Anagnos, and the Doctor

WHERE:   The Tuscumbia Utilities Building – Auditorium

202 East 6th Street in downtown Tuscumbia, Aalabama

HELENAdditional Information: Those wishing to audition will read from the script of The Miracle Worker. Scripts are usually available at area bookstores. But, you will have time to look over script upon your arrival.

Those auditioning must be available for seven weeks of rehearsal and six weekends of performances. I am looking for cast members that are not overly involved in other activities.  This production takes a great deal of time, and I need a committed cast.
