TUSCUMBIA-Musicians spend their days & nights entertaining us, donating their talents to benefits, free shows and the
community. Their pay is little; some performances barely cover the cost of broken strings. Where their fortune comes from the joy they bring others it does not help that there is No Musicians Union or benefit program. Therefore if they become ill doctor bills, hospital stays and medicine comes from their empty pockets. One of our Beloved local Musicians, Kerry Gilbert, fought a hard battle in 2013 against a blood Cancer. Friends, family & local Musicians came together and provided a day of music, food, fun, and fellowship while raising money to help with Kerry’s medical bills & travel expenses to Vanderbilt. Kerry, with much support, doctor visits & prayer, is today in remission and wants to give back to the community & musicians that supported him by continuing annually the Kerry Gilbert Music Festival. All proceeds will go to local musicians in need of financial support. This event offers great and diverse musical performances throughout the day, along with food, fun, vendors, prayers & fellowship.
Located at The Natchez Trace Harley Davidson who has graciously donated the Venue, located on Highway 72 in Tuscumbia.
