RED BAY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports the death of an 18-Wheeler Drive near Red Bay on Thursday, September 28:
“A single-vehicle crash at 12 a.m. on Thursday, Sepeptember 28, has claimed the life of a Dawson, TX man.
Jeffrey Cade Harkins, 46, was killed when the 2017 Freightliner he was driving left the roadway, struck a utility pole, and then traveled down an embankment.
Harkins was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred on Alabama 247 at the 11-mile marker, 12 miles north of Red Bay.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate. “
