Terry Steely was born on August 6, 1960 in Savannah, Tennessee, the son of the late E.A. and Vera Handley Steely.
On May 23, 1981, he was united in marriage to Elaine Terrell, who survives.
Terry worked as a truck driver for USF Holland for 43 years. He was a member of Teamsters Union and Pickwick Church of Christ in Counce, Tennessee. He enjoyed restoring classic vehicles, riding motorcycles, and going alligator hunting.
Terry Steely departed this life on Monday, March 14, 2022 in Florence, Alabama at the age of 61 years, 7 months, and 8 days.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Elaine Steely of Savannah, Tennessee; sons, Blane Alexander Steely and his wife Sebrina of Florence, Alabama, Robert Daniel Steely and his wife Natasha of Savannah, Tennessee, and Terry Scott Steely and his wife Tori of Shiloh, Tennessee; sister, Glenda (Doodle) Beard of Florence, Alabama; and grandchildren, Brie Pruitt, Sierra Pruitt, Caleb Steely, Daniel Steely, Eli Steely, Lincoln Steely, and Canaan Steely.
In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his sister, Jackie McFall and brothers, Jerry Steely and Gene Steely.
