Terry Powell Mobley, age 90, of Natural Bridge, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at his residence. He was born January 31, 1935, in Natural Bridge, Alabama to Carl and Lucy Mobley. If you knew Terry, then you know what a hard worker he was, having spent his years before retirement as a farmer and working in road construction. He was a mason, as well as a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Terry continued his love of gardening even in retirement, and was already planning his spring garden. Visitation will be Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, with a funeral service to follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother Jeff Mobley will officiate. Terry is survived by his son, Chris (Sabrina) Mobley; daughter, Anita Smith; grandchildren, Hannah (Adam) Wilson, Heather (Drew) Gatlin, Hali (Preston) Lapinski, Madison (Lance) Hubbert, Andrew (Emily) Smith; great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Anna, and Zach Hubbert, Wallace Smith, and Acacia and Oliver Lipinski; brother, Jerry (Ronnie) Mobley; sisters, Shirley Benefield, Betty Gray, Marie Courington, and Illa Lister; and many cherished nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 50 years, June Mobley; parents, Carl and Lucy Mobley; sister, Jimmy (Virginia) Courington; and son-in-law, Guy Smith.
