Terry Lynne Newport age 64 of McMinnville, TN, died Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at her home defeating her long-standing illnesses, most recently cancer. She was born February 22, 1956, in Atlanta, GA, was a devoted mother and wife and a member of Northside Baptist Church. Mrs. Newport is preceded in death by her father Rex Carter, mother Alleen Underwood Hudson, and sister Sandra Batts.
Terry is survived by her husband Charles E. Newport, children Tabetha Newport (Chris) Sullens, Jarred (Jenny) Newport, and Jason Newport, step-children Scott Newport and Ann (Brad) Brown, her beloved companion Porshia, brother Rex Carter, grandchildren Taven Newport, Lexis Sullens, Camron Newport, London Sullens, Zoe Beth Newport, and Abby Pendleton, and special friends Jimmie Eller and Gray Morales.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Saturday and again from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service on Sunday at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Sunday, October 25, 2020, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Paul Roberts will officiate. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Social distancing and wearing facial masks are strongly encouraged.
