Terry Lee Nelson, 59, of Walnut, Mississippi, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice in Tupelo, MS. He was born on August 18, 1955 in Independence, MS to James B. and Valrie Sanders Nelson. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He enjoyed deer hunting and baseball but especially bowling. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29, 2015 from 5 PM until service time at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 PM on Thursday, April 30, 2015, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Joe Spencer, Bro. Gary Porterfield and Bro. Trent Nethery. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife of 41 years: Sherry Nelson of Walnut, MS; three sons: Jimmy Nelson (Carla) of Iuka, MS, Michael Nelson (Juanita) of Walnut, MS and Jamie Nelson of Walnut, MS; four grandchildren: Cody Nelson, Breanna Nelson, Savana Nelson and Jordan Nelson; four brothers: Jimmy Nelson (Opal) of Walnut, MS, Philip Nelson (Kay) of Walnut, MS, Kenny Nelson (Frankie) of Walnut, MS and Lawrence Nelson (Wanda) of Walnut, MS; four sisters: Lenda Bobo of Walnut, MS, Brenda Null (Charles) of Walnut, MS, Helen Dildy (Tony) of Rienzi, MS and Sandra Crum (Donald) of Walnut, MS; his mother-in-law: Doris Bennett of Faulkner, MS; his brothers-in-law: Danny Rogers (Angie) of Michie, TN and Terry Rogers of Walnut, MS; his sisters-in-law: Sandy Hogue (Terry) of Dumas, MS, Missy Williams of Walnut, MS and Debbie Bryant (Phillip) of Walnut, MS; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
