Terry Grissett, age 69, was born in St. Louis, Missouri, the second child of John E. and Helen Varwig Price. She departed this life peacefully June 24, 2016 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Terry and her family moved to Huntsville in 1961. In high school, she met the love of her life, Mike Grissett. They were married November 17,1972 following Mike’s graduation from West Point. They were blessed with two sons. Terry had a rewarding career with the Department of the Army spanning 35 years. During that time she was deployed twelve times, serving in Bosnia, Haiti, Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan and Qatar. Terry was named employee of the year twice at Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey, which is quite an honor. Everyone who knew Terry would agree she was a hard worker and true friend.

Terry fought a fierce and courageous battle, dying as she lived with dignity, strength and honor. Our beloved mother, wife and sister will be greatly missed and her memory will forever be in our hearts.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years John “Michael” Grissett; their sons Scott Grissett of Vail, Arizona and Brian Grissett of Mt. Dora, Florida; her sister Jo Ann (Don) Chiri of Huntsville, Alabama and several nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her parents John and Helen Price and her brothers Norman Price and Scott Price.

The funeral will be Thursday, June 30th at 12:00 at Berryhill Funeral home with visitation one hour before.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Pancreatic Cancer Research Foundation at www.cancer.org/donate.
