Terry Gist, 55, of Florence, passed away on October 16, 2016 at his residence. Terry was an avid Alabama fan and an 18 year employee of Sysco Food Service.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Greenview Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m -1:00 p.m. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Tim Tubbs officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenview Memorial Mausoleum.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Arlie Gist; sister, Bobbie Angel and nephew, Roger Angel.
Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Becky Gist; son, Jeremy Gist (Ashley); grandchildren, Peyton Tyler and Paxton Eli Gist; brothers, Don Gist (Marilyn), Allen Gist (Rhonda) and David Gist (Lynn); sisters, Jean Wright (Aaron) and Pat McAnally (David); mother-in-law, Faye Stevenson; sister-in-law, Sherry Gorrell (Joel) and his beloved dog, Bella.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Eric Angel, Steve Wright, Jordan Gist, Nick Gist, Mike House and Chris House.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Steven Borden and all Sysco co-workers and neighbors.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at 104 S. Poplar Street Florence, AL 35630.
