F.4.27.24 Terry Johnson.jpg Terry Gene Johnson, a beloved son, brother, father, and friend, peacefully departed this life on April 14th, 2024, at his residence in Valrico, Florida. Surrounded by the love of his family, he transitioned to his eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.

Born to Ralph Boyd Johnson and Laura E. Key, Terry brought joy and happiness into the lives of his parents and all who knew him. He leaves behind his devoted brother Robbie Johnson (Nancy Johnson), who was his steadfast companion throughout life’s journey.

Terry’s legacy is carried on through his cherished daughters, Pamela Gauvin (Keith Gauvin) and Tara Burley (Steven Burley). His pride and joy in his family knew no bounds, and his love for them was immeasurable. Terry’s grandchildren were his greatest delight, each one holding a special place in his heart (Garrett Johnson, Bridgett Gauvin, Brett Gauvin and Kyson Burley).

Known for his infectious love of sports, particularly his unwavering devotion to Alabama Football, Terry was a beacon of enthusiasm on game days. His passion for golf, boating and the water, as well as his thrill for car races, were evident to all who shared in his adventures.

Terry was a master storyteller, weaving tales with wit and humor that captivated his audience. His blunt honesty endeared him to many, leaving lasting impressions on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In honoring Terry’s memory, his family kindly requests that he be remembered for the joy he brought into the lives of others, rather than dwelling on the sadness of his passing. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date to cherish the memories he created.

Flowers and memorial gifts are welcomed as gestures of remembrance, though not necessary. Terry’s spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his memory will forever be cherished.

Rest in peace, Terry Gene Johnson. Your laughter, your stories, and your love will echo in our hearts for eternity.
