Mr. Terry Eugene Oden, age 67, of Union Grove, Alabama passed away at Huntsville Hospital on Monday afternoon, June 30, 2025. Born in St. Claire County, AL on April 13, 1958, Terry was the only son of four children born to Emmett Albert Oden and Julia Marie McCroy Oden. He was married (2/9/1979) to Susan Ann Berry Oden for over 46 years. A lifelong resident of Alabama, Terry’s character was shaped by the values of hard work and humility. Terry was a 1977 graduate of Arab High School and retired from Mueller Company after 40 years of service.
Terry found pleasure in the simple things in nature. He loved taking care of his garden. He considered his six grandchildren as true gifts. Spending time with them brought him boundless joy.
Family members left behind to cherish good memories include his wife, Susan Oden, son, Nathan Terry Oden (Amanda Hufnagle); grandchildren, Leigh Joann Oden, Samantha Christine Oden, Alison Kay Oden, Derek Albert Oden, Randy Theron Oden and Micah Blake Oden; sisters, Marylyn Deen (Royce), Brenda Deen (Ralph) and Shelia Davis (Richard); daughter in law, Deana Oden; and a host of extended family members.
Those preceding Terry in death include his parents, Emmett and Julia Oden; son, Bradley Eugene Oden and infant sister, Anita Louise Oden.
Family has elected cremation. A memorial service will be announced when plans are completed. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel will be assisting the family.
