F 06.05.19 Terry Rochester.jpgTerry B. Rochester, 64, of Florence, passed away Friday, May 24, 2019. His memorial service will be Saturday, June 8th at 10 a.m. at Spry~Williams Funeral Home of Florence. Visitation with the family will begin immediately after the service with Tim Evans, Pastor at North Clay Baptist Church Trussville, Alabama and also a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. His Sigma Chi brothers will serve as honorary bearers.

Terry graduated from Coffee High School in 1972 and from the University of North Alabama in 1976. While in college, Terry became a charter member of the Eta Rho Chapter of Sigma Chi Fraternity which was chartered on April 20, 1974. He was the Magister (Pledge Trainer) and held his fraternity brothers in high regard all of his life.

In 1993, Terry made the decision to pursue a career in law. He completed law school in three years going full time which was only allowed because of his grade point average at the end of his first year. He was awarded the Lanny Vines Scholarship for highest grade point average out of his class and maintained the highest grade point average until he graduated from The Birmingham School of Law on August 23, 1996. Terry went on to have a successful legal career representing clients all around the State. He was a Member in Good Standing with the Alabama State Bar Association.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Henry Rochester; brother, Jimmy Rochester; maternal grandparents, John T. and Edna Laney; paternal grandparents, Ralph and Thelma Rochester; and cousin, John Blocker.

Survivors are his wife, Marsha Rochester; children, Rocky Rochester (Michelle), Brooke Sisson and Natalie Rochester; brothers, Stephan Rochester, Mike Rochester (Susan) and Nathan Rochester (Tammy); grandchildren, Ian, Maliea, Bella, Lilly, J.T, Brooklyn and Allison Kathryn; and cousin, Donnie Blocker.
