Terri Lynn Ray Byrom, a cherished soul, passed away on December 3, 2024, after her courageous fight against breast cancer. Originally from Fultondale, Alabama, she later made her home in Hazel Green, Alabama. Terri was renowned for her kind spirit and selfless generosity, embodying the belief that giving was a greater blessing than receiving. Her kindness was boundless, and she was a devoted mother, aunt, daughter, friend, and a radiant presence who was always ready to lend a helping hand. Shopping was one of her favorite pastimes, but what she cherished most was the time spent with her family, friends, and her beloved dogs—Hank, Henry, and Howie.
Terri is survived by her daughter, Kristy Daniell Byrom; her mother, Nancy Ray; her sisters, Rebecca Hamby (Rick) and Paula Byrom; her nieces, Ashley Conway (Rene), Cheyenne Aultman, Haley Mills (Dustin), and Savannah Byrom; and her nephews, James Hamby (Tori) and Justin Bittinger (Shannan).
She is preceded in death by her father, Jerry D. Ray; her daughter, Emily Kaylynn Recio; and her sisters, Veronica Christopher and Amy Ray.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 8th, from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at Berryhill Funeral Home, with a service immediately following at 11:00 A.M. A graveside service will take place at 2:00 P.M. at the Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens in Fultondale, AL.
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” -John 14:27.
