A service to celebrate the life of Terrence H. Wilkinson, 88, will be held on Friday at 3:30 pm at Memorial Funeral Home with a graveside service on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Shiloh Primitive Cemetery in Byram, MS.

Mr. Wilkinson passed away on August 20, 2026 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born in Benton, Mississippi to the late Allen Franklin and Erna Mae Wilkinson. He graduated Whitehaven High School and received his B.A. from Memphis State University in Latin and Greek. He was a longtime Latin and Greek teacher at East High School in Memphis. In his spare time he enjoyed writing and authored the book “Twas In Dixie”. Most of all he was a loving father and grandpa to his family. He was an excellent cook, artist, and loved to play the piano and read.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Myron, Wayne, Harold, Dan, Mike, Jeff Wilkinson; and son-in-law, Randy Newborn.

He is survived by his daughters, Ellen Rivers Newborn and Heather Noel Dilliard (Jerry); grandchildren, Adam Samuel Dilliard, David Ross Wilkinson and Callie Rose Watson (Cody); great-grandchildren, Casper and Ezekiel Watson; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in honor of Terry Wilkinson to the Sons’ of Confederate Veterans or the Corinth Animal Shelter.

Bro. David Wilkinson will officiate the services.
