Terrell “Terry” McCormick, 89 of Athens, passed away on Monday, February 7th, 2022, at his residence. Mr. McCormick was born on October 16, 1932, to Marvin E. and Lila Byrd McCormick.
Mr. McCormick is survived by his sons Steven McCormick (Linda) and Greg McCormick (Pam); grandchildren Teri Crouch, Victoria McCormick, Trent McCormick and Tyler McCormick; and great-grandchildren Brayden Cothren, Braylee Crouch, Tucker McCormick, and Laney McCormick.
Preceded in death by his parents; wife Peggy Wright McCormick; son Jeffery Scott McCormick; brother Marvin Edward McCormick, Jr.; and sister Lillian McCormick Turner.
Funeral services for Mr. McCormick will be Saturday, February 12th, 2022, at 1:00pm at First Baptist Church, with Joel Teal and Aaron Johnson officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00am-1:00pm at the church. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery. Pallbearers are Bobby Austin, Bill Chambers, Brayden Cothren, Andy Balch, Greg McAlister, and Furney Wood.
