James Earl Rutherford, 86 of Elkmont, passed away on Monday, February 7th, 2022, at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mr. Rutherford was born on November 27th, 1935, to Luther McKinley Rutherford and Nellie May Mize-Rutherford.
Mr. Rutherford is survived by his wife Linda Rutherford; son James Raymond Rutherford (Julie); grandchildren Ivy Rutherford-Hernandez, Deavon Rutherford, Nyssa Rutherford, Justin Rutherford, Jamie Rutherford, Brandy Miller, Johnathan Holbrook, and Amanda Winikie; great-grandchildren Dominic Hernandez, Issadora Hernandez, and Cecila Hernandez; and sister Betty Causey.
Preceded in death by his parents; 6 brothers John Rutherford, Joseph Rutherford, Bo Rutherford, Charles Rutherford, Clarence Rutherford and Raymond Rutherford; 1 sister Louise Rutherford; and children Mary Ann Rutherford, Brenda Lee Rutherford, and Earl Rutherford.
He will be loved, missed and remembered by all.
