Teresia Ann Burleson, age 72, of Hackleburg, passed away on Friday, May 08, 2026, at her residence.
Teresia, or better known as “Nana” loved her daycare kids and loved her family. She impacted so many lives and was always there for her family. We take comfort in knowing she is no longer in any pain and is in the arms of our Lord, but she will be greatly missed.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 55 years, Neal Burleson; son, Brannon Burleson (Jessica), granddaughter, Ava Burleson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James & Ava Dean (Emerson) Whitehead; and siblings Judy, Gail, Sharon, and Doug Whitehead.
The visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Cedar Tree Methodist Church (8960 State Highway 172, Hackleburg). The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. in the church with the burial at Cedar Tree Cemetery.
