Teresa Maxine Wooten

On January 20, 2024, God stretched out his hand and Teresa Maxine Wooten answered the call.  She was such an inspiration to so many and loved everyone.  She touched so many lives throughout the years.  On June 27, 1957 she was born to the late Roger and Dorothy Allen.  She married the love of her life on June 27, 1975, Rev. Donnie Wooten.  They had a love like no other for 48 years and they ministered together for 40 of those years.  They were blessed with two children who were her life.

Celebration of her life will be Wednesday, January 24, 12 p.m. at Way of Life Church in Tishomingo, MS with Bro. Haskell Sparks, Bro. Scotty Young, Bro. James Herman Gray and Bro. Kevin Rea officiating.  Burial will be in Dennis Memory Gardens.  Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Donnie Wooten; her son, Roger Wooten and wife Sheila; her daughter, Tonya Embrey and husband Stephen; grandchildren, Katalyna Mitchell and husband Andrew, Isaac Wooten and wife Tori, Garrett Embrey, Magan Bostick and husband Nathan and Stacey Steele and wife Anna; nine great-grandchildren and one on the way; two brothers, Jesse Allen and wife Cindy and James Allen and wife Tammi; one sister, Lesia Rea and husband Kevin and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her father and mother-in-law, Nim and Nellie Wooten; an unborn child and three grandbabies.

Pallbearers will be Garrett Embrey, Isaac Wooten, Andrew Mitchell, Stephen Embrey, Steve Wooten, Randy Ruple, Chris Wooten and Stacey Steele.  Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Ada, Kevin Walls, Kevin Rea, James Allen and Jesse Allen.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 23, 6-9 p.m. and Wednesday, January 24, 10-12 at Way of Life Church.
