Funeral service for Teresa Houser Pyke, 62, will be Friday, September 20, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Somerville Church of God with Bro. Pearl Jenkins officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Somerville Church of God Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Peck Funeral Home
Teresa went to be with our Lord on September 16, 2024, just one month short of her 63rd birthday, after a long battle against Melanoma and Glioblastoma. She was born on October 16, 1961, to James Quentin Houser and Margaret Garrison Houser.
Teresa was employed, previously at SES, as a quality control supervising specialist, working on government contracts regarding Black Hawk helicopters. She was an artist and photographer with an eye for the smallest details. She loved to travel and was fortunate to be able to go to many worldwide destinations. She was a graduate of Brewer High School.
Teresa loved her family and animals and that loved was returned many fold. Teresa was affectionately called many names by those who loved her, such as; T, Seesa, and Angel Mom. She was surrounded by many who were blessed by her many talents and caring soul.
Preceding her in death were her father: James Quentin Houser, her step-father: J.L. Lemmond, and beloved nephew: Keith Fowler.
Her special interests were for Juvenile Diabetes and any animal rescue.
