Tennessee Man Dies In Two-Vehicle Accident Near Elkmont

ELKMONT-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle Accident near Elkmont that has taken the life of one person and sent another person to hosptial:

“A two-vehicle crash at approximately 2:05 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, has claimed the life of a Columbia, TN., man.

Felix Narciso Pena was fatally injured when the 2020 Chevy Express van he was driving was struck by a 2019 Honda Civic. The Chevy left the roadway, struck a fence, a ditch and then a tree. Pena was pronounced deceased at the scene. Zhane Siti McElroy, 23, of Fort Campbell, Ky., the driver of the Honda, was injured and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The crash occurred on Interstate 65 near Upper Fort Hampton Road, approximately three miles east of Elkmont. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
