MADISON COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident near New Market that has taken the life of one person:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. Sunday, January 21, has claimed the life of a Huntland, Tennessee, man.
Mickey J. Williams, 61, who was a passenger in the 2009 Toyota 4Runner, was fatally injured when the 4Runner left the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned. Williams was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the 4Runner was Elizabeth M. Armentrout, 45, was also of Huntland, Tennessee.
The crash occurred on Winchester Road, approximately seven miles north of New Market, in Madison County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
