Tennessee Man Dies in Car Crash After Being Pursued Into Lauderdale County By State Troopers

LAUDERDALE COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement agency reports a single-vehicle accident that has taken the life of a Tennessee man occured while the vehicle was being pursued by a State Trooper:

“A single-vehicle crash that occurred on Friday evening, November 24, has claimed the life of a Tennessee man.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said  the crash occurred at 6:32 p.m. on Highway 33  in Lauderdale County when a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Christian Hatchett, 49 left the roadway and overturned. Troopers said Hatchett was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Before the crash happened, Troopers said Hatchett was attempting to elude a Trooper with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division.

There is nothing further to report as ALEA continues to investigate the accident.”
