Teena Campbell Dale went to her heavenly home on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at the age of 65 after a courageous battle with cancer. She passed from this life peacefully, surrounded by family who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Teena was born to Malon “Jack” and Lavera Campbell on June 2, 1958 in Florence, AL. Teena graduated from Bradshaw High School, Florence, AL in 1976. Afterwards she attended Mississippi State University (MSU) on an athletic scholarship, graduating in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design . While at MSU, Teena was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority, the Women’s Volleyball team, Kappa Omicron Phi Honorary, and was active in several other campus activities.

In June 1984, Teena married the love of her life, Russell Dale, and together they were blessed with 2 sons, Mitchell and Miles. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother “Granna”, sister and friend to all. Besides her love of family, Teena’s greatest passion in life was serving Jesus Christ and helping others though her involvement with The Warehouse Thrift, Woodside Upward Basketball, Shine On and various charitable organizations. She received her gift of Salvation at an early age and remained active in church throughout her life. At the time of death, she was a member Woodside Bible Church and an active member of HALO, where she fostered and transported rescue dogs. She was President of the Junior Women League of Birmingham and President of Rockery Woods Home Owners. Teena had a huge heart, was a true inspiration to everyone who knew her, keeping a warm welcoming smile and a positive attitude regardless of life’s challenges! She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Russell Dale, Rochester Hills, MI; sons Mitchell (Kelsey) Dale, Elmhurst, IL and Miles Dale, Denver, CO; grandson Harvey Dale, Elmhurst, IL; brother, Barry (Kim) Campbell, Rogersville, AL; nephews Daniel (Meghan) Campbell, Chattanooga, TN and Kyle Todd, Washington DC; nieces Kasey (Kyle) Starnes, Athens, AL and Cara Todd, Walnut Creek, Ca; Mother-in-Law Virginia Dale, Rochester Hills, MI; fur babies, Gracie Dale , Finley Dale and grand dogs Sophie Dale and Blu Dale.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Lavera Campbell, Father-in-Law Max Dale and Sister-in-Law Annette Dale Rentenberg.

The Michigan Celebration of Life will be held in Troy, MI on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 Woodside Bible Church.

The Final Celebration of Life will also be held in Rogersville, AL on Saturday November 18, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home, 18275 US Hwy 72, Rogersville, AL. Funeral services will follow with Rickey Green officiating. Interment will be at Harvey Cemetery, Rogersville. Rogersville Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
