Teen Drowns On Lewis Smith Lake

drowning350_jpg_475x310_q85-300x238DOUBLE SPRINGS-ALEA (Alabama Law Enforcement Agency) reports a drowning of a teen on Saturday, April 16:

A swimming incident at 12:45 p.m. on Lewis Smith Lake today, April 16 has claimed the life of a Hartselle teen. 

Carmen Elizabeth Johnson, 15, drowned while swimming with family off a boat dock at a residence near Double Springs in Winston County.

Johnson was pulled from the water by divers at approximately 2:45 pm and pronounced dead.

Nothing further is available as Troopers from ALEA’s Marine Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
