Teddy Ray Ownby, age 55, of Cornersville, Tennessee, died Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Teddy was born December 23, 1967, in Sevierville, Tennessee, to the late Jerry and Mary Parton Ownby. He was employed by Comfort Research prior to his illness. He was an avid outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Fleury Ownby of Cornersville; two daughters, Christie (Bryan) Kelley, Huntsville, AL, and Dawn (Juan) Arias, Smyrna; one son, James Helmholtz, Cornersville; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Timmy Ownby and Randy Ownby both of Cornersville; two sisters, Sandra (Wayne) Stokes, Cornersville and Tammy King, Pigeon Forge; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday, July 24, 2023, at 12:00 pm at the graveside at Beechwood Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held at Cornersville Funeral Home on Monday, July 24, 2023, from 10:00 am until the funeral hour.
