Teddy Ray Mitchell, 57, of Elkmont, Alabama passed away on August 6 2026, in Athens, Alabama.
He was born on September 27, 1968, in Michigan to David Ray Mitchell and Peggy Sue Mitchell.
Teddy lived all his life in Elkmont, Alabama. He was member of The Church of the Living God in Elkmont, Alabama.
He spent his life running his own body shop, painting custom cars, building hot rods and sharing his days with his loyal dog, Bondo. Above all else, Teddy deeply loved his family and was always first to lend a helping hand to anybody that he could.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Jenny Lynn Mitchell, one sister; Rhonda Garrison.
Teddy is survived by his two sons: Christopher Ray (Alicia) Mitchell, Bradley Allan Mitchell, three grandchildren; Emily Ray Mitchell, Colton Allan Mitchell, Gunter Ray Mitchell, parents; David Ray Mitchell and Peggy Ray Mitchell, two sisters: Joannie Lynn (Danny) Miller, Jennifer Renee (Buddy) Lewter.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm located at the Church of the Living God, located in Elkmont, Alabama, A Chapel Service will be held at Church of the Living God with service time beginning at 2:00 pm. Bro. Doug Colwell will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Gatlin Cemetery located in Ardmore, Alabama.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home will be assisting the family with services.
