Taylor Ashton Sheats – Obituary

taylorTaylor Ashton Sheats, 22, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016. She was born on April 19, 1994 in Huntsville, Alabama. Taylor graduated in 2012 from Seven Lakes High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and the Future Health Care Professionals. She also played softball her freshman and sophomore years. She graduated cum laude with an Associate’s Degree from Long Star College, where she made the Dean’s List and the President’s List numerous times. She was also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa. Taylor had recently enrolled at the University of Houston to pursue a degree and career in medical diagnostic sonography. Taylor attended Second Baptist Church 1463 Campus.

Taylor was an amazing babysitter and professional nanny. She was loving and such a natural at providing care to children and they loved her in return. She loved helping each child along and also loved reading to them.

Taylor was also an accomplished artist and loved sketching portraits, cartoons, and doing replications. She could duplicate anything and magically transpose it through sketching making it better.

She had a great sense of humor and was very independent. She was beautiful both inside and out and was a caring, supportive friend to many.

She is survived by her father, Jason Ray Sheats of Katy; her grandparents, Ann Sheats Wooten of Decatur, Alabama, and Clifton Sheats of Eva, Alabama; her great grandparents, Rubert Dee Sheats of Trinity, Alabama and Mary Busbey Byrd of Decatur, Alabama; her fiancé, Juan Lugo of Katy; and her godchild, Leo Sanchez.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the Shelton Funeral Home, where a Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, with Pastor Gary Voss officiating. Interment will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens, Athens, Alabama.
