BACKGROUND
The Foundation for Aging has supported Limestone County’s elderly community for over two decades, providing financial assistance to the Council on Aging and the City of Athens. For more than 20 years, the Poke Sallet Follies dinner and variety show served as the organization’s signature fundraiser — a beloved community tradition featuring local leaders and volunteers. COVID brought the Follies to an end, and the Taste of Athens-Limestone is the Foundation’s fresh start: a community-centered event that celebrates local businesses while sustaining critical services for area seniors.
