UPDATE: Standoff remains…law enforcement still present at site. according to authorities law enforcement will remain on site until situation is resolved.
KILLEN-Update on the standoff between police and a Florida fugitive.
The standoff that began around 6:30 A.M. on Thursday, October 6 at the Super 8 Motel in Killen is still under way.
Several police agencies remain involved. The fugitive remains holed up in a room at the Super 8 and it is unknown how many people are in the room sources say as many as five and it remains unknown whether they are there of their own free will or being held against their will.
An unnamed reliable source tells the Quad Cities Daily the fugitive is Eddie Collins, 42, he is wanted in Lee County Florida on several felony charges.
Lee County Sheriff’s Department caution authorities that Collins is extremely dangerous.
