Talmage M. Keenum – Obituary

talmadgeTalmage M. Keenum, 69, died peacefully at his home on Dec. 23, 2015. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. Clay Rikard will be officiating.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carole; parents, Lloyd Talmage and Martha Adell Willingham Keenum; grandson, Eli Bratton; and father-in-law, James “Dub” Brewer.
Mr. Keenum was a native of Tuscumbia. He was a member of the U.S. Air Force, where he served two tours in Vietnam. He was a corrections officer at the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department for 15 years, a TVA police officer, and an educator for ten years. He was a proud member of the Deshler High School graduating class of 1965 and the Deshler Lunch Bunch.
He is survived by wife, Jackie Keenum; children, Tina Marie Keenum, Kim Hill, Clay Rikard(Rachel), and Kelli Bratton (James); sisters, Jane Sharp (Odell) and Pat Barnett; and eight grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
