talmageTalmadge Wade Layton, 85, of Decatur, passed away peacefully at his home on Mar. 17, 2016.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, Mar. 26, 2016 at 2 p.m. with visitation at 1 p.m. at Rideout’s Brown Service Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Naomie Weaver Layton; brother, Loyd Layton; daughter, Belinda Thurman; and son-in-law, Kerry Beshears.
Mr. Layton is survived by his wife of 68 years, Martha Anderson Layton; daughters, Marsha Beshears and Tammy May (Paul); sons, Gary Layton and Audie Layton (Sharon); sisters, Mary Scruggs and Sarah Hudson; grandchildren, Mica Widell (Eric), Christy Stover (Brent), Bradley Stone, Katie Dunnivant (William), Makenzie Connor, Tara May, Heather Colley (Ryan), and Phillip May (Vera); great-grandchildren, Erica Widell, Caroline Widell, Cole Houser, Ethan King, Quincy Taylor Jr., Camden Miller, Lucas Colley, Parker Stone, Jasmine Haas, and Ella May.
Mr. Layton served in the Army and was retired from the United States Air Force.
Pallbearers will be William Dunnivant, Eric Widell, Brent Stover, Ryan Colley, Phillip May, and John Entrekin. Honorary pallbearers are Myron Melton “Tallman”, Joey Gray, and Tyler Brown.
